Each piece of studio kaylee davis ceramics is one-of-a-kind,
handmade by me- hand built or thrown on the wheel and finished with decals
cut freehand and applied in playful, improvisational patterns.
These are my meditations. May they bring you much joy.

Participating in an art practice is a privilege (though it shouldn’t be). I hope that by sharing my art with you and the world, I can help to

I currently only ship within the continental US. If you’d like to ship elsewhere, get in touch and we’ll see what we can figure out.
If your order arrives damaged please reach out within 48 hours.
Whenever possible I use recycled materials to package and ship these precious pieces. Feel free to keep it going! Please reuse or recycle as you find appropriate.

The decal patterns on the surface of the ceramics are burned in but will remain exuberant for longer with your gentle care:
I strongly recommend hand washing your piece using a sponge without abrasive scouring pads.
While the ceramics are microwave and oven safe, I do not recommend using them in either.

The glaze and most of the decals that I use are food safe!
The red and the red-orange-vermillion decals do contain a small amount of cadmium are not considered food safe. Pieces with the red or orange decals in their design are best for decorative purposes only. All other decal colors are food safe.
For pieces that have a matte glaze, be mindful of foods with strong dying powers—like turmeric and coffee—as they will stain the glaze over time.

Occasionally the decal designs will slightly burn off or morph while in the kiln. I love this about them! These unpredictable “imperfections” are a reminder that a human made this art, not a robot.
I do my best to photograph each piece in a way that shows these handmade aspects.

If your piece of ceramics breaks, consider looking into kintsugi- the japanese art of embracing the flaw by repairing with it lacquer and gold powder. I suggest JMCraftStore.
